We are off to Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands in NSW to escape the summer heat, as well as a bushwalk to 'The Grotto' for a swim. Fitzroy Falls is about 1hr30min from Sydney turning off the Hume Highway near Mittagong.

Fitzroy Falls plunges 80 metres to the floor of the valley below.

We take the West Rim walk which contains many lookouts of Fitzroy Falls and the surrounding valley. This walk is fairly easy but can get slipery at times.

We have reached 'The Grotto' where we take a shower under some very cool water. Very refreshing.

Tips
- Bring your own food and drinks, especially if your going on the walk. The Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre has a cafe where you can get drinks and snacks if needed.
