For the wine enthusiast, the Hunter Valley is the main producer of wine in NSW. Just a couple hours drive north of Sydney we are heading to the heart of the wine region in a town called Pobolkin.

Day 1 : Upon arriving into Pobolkin we stop off at the Chocolate Fudge Factory.

We are staying for 2 nights at Villa Provence , about a 2 minute drive for the centre of Pobolkin.

View from our room.

Day 2 : We are going into the town to visit the Hunter Valley Gardens.

They have a story book theme garden for the children to explore.

'Hey Diddle Diddle'

'Alice in Wonderland'

Not much point coming to Hunter Valley and not go to some wineries. Audrey Wilkinson Vineyard is one of the original wineries in the region dating back to 1866.

One of Australia's well known wines is McGuigan Wines.

Also at McGuigan wines is the Hunter Valley Cheese Co.
